Inkudu guntalu- a revolution towards water conservation

The recent drought has cast its evil spell on various parts of the country. The soaring temperatures and a deficit rainfall for over a year had serious implications on the water levels and agriculture. In states like Maharashtra the water scarcity was at an alarming level that water had to be transported through trains. Why are we facing such a situation? Are we really responsible for this? Absolutely yes! We encroached upon our lakes, destroyed our forests, polluted our rivers in the disguise of progress. Progress is good but it shouldn’t destroy the very basic necessity of life and this is nothing but greed.   The el nino had serious effect on the rainfall for a year, many states had received a deficit rainfall and we were not ready for this. A big No to indo-pak series

Recently the Indian cricket board BCCI held talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board to resume cricketing ties between the two countries which were terminated over the rising tensions between the two countries. The indo-pak series was to be held in December tentatively in Sri Lanka. Indo-pak match is known for its power packed entertainment, it is not just a game for the two arch rivals but a matter of pride. Millions of people from both sides watch these matches with great enthusiasm. Pakistan is known for its proxy war on India through terror outfits. Pakistan’s ISI and the Pakistan army fund and train terrorists to carry out terror attacks in India and one such worst terror attack happened in Mumbai (26/11 Mumbai attacks). In addition, Pakistan has been provoking India thr...

My views on e-Pragati

The IT revolution has bought several changes in India. It changed what was an agriculture based economy to a country with strong service sector. It opened avenues for employment in the form of foreign based and even domestic IT/ITES companies using the extensive skill force available in India. The government has also realised the importance of IT and decided to use it for what we call it e-governance. The prime minister of India SHRI Narendra Modi has introduced "Digital India" to revolutionize e-governance and digitalise Government departments. Taking an inspiration from Digital India the government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced e-pragati, it was launched by SHRI Nara Chandrababu Naidu on october 9th at Visakhapatnam. The IT revolution is not new to the Telugu land. Mr. Naidu, when he was the chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh (Telangana and Seemandhra combined) was always a proponent of IT to bring out a sustainable development. Due to his efforts Hyderabad...

Smart village- a road to rural empowerment

“India lives in her villages” these words were said by Mahatma Gandhi. Yes, Majority of the Indian population lives in rural areas hence to attain sustainable economic prosperity it is necessary to focus on the development of rural areas. Every state must develop programmes towards upliftment of the rural economy but one state has already started focusing on rural upliftment   and that state is Andhra Pradesh. Under the leadership of Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu the government of Andhra Pradesh has brought the revolutionary scheme called “Smart Village”. Smart village is a village adoption scheme which enables responsible citizens or simply partners to adopt a village of their choice and develop that village in collaboration with gram panchayat committee. Quite an innovative scheme isn’t it? It involves citizens and making it a social responsibility. This scheme has achieved wide scale recognition and many NRIS, film personalities, industrialists, corporate houses and eve...

This led to a wide scale debate in the country spread across various platforms like media and  social media whether the protest is justified or not How did it start? It all started with a lynching incident in a village called Dadri , Uttar Pradesh where a man named Mohammad Akhlaq Saifi was killed by a mob over the allegation that he killed a cow . This incident has sparked the whole nation with leaders across various parties taking advantage of the incident and “communal politics” entered the scene. Famous writer Nayantara Sahagal who happens to be the niece of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru started this “Award returning” campaign by returning her Sahitya Akademi Award in protest over the  Dadri incident.
